John W. Ray Jeannette John W. Ray, 59, of Jeannette, passed away Monday, Aug. 20, 2012, at his residence. He was born July 27, 1953, in Braddock, a son of Louise Hutchinson Ray, of Pitcairn, and the late Paul Ray. Prior to his retirement, John was employed by the State Correctional Institute in South Greensburg as a chef. He was a Vietnam War veteran, having served in the Army. In addition to his father, John was predeceased by an infant son, Stephen Ray. He is survived by his loving wife, Christine Lessa Ray; two daughters, Melanie Ray and Margaret Daley and husband, Collin; and a grandson, Tyler Daley, all of Jeannette; a sister, Nettie Ray, of Pitcairn; a brother, Darryl Ray, and a sister-in-law, Mary Burns, both of Tennessee; two brothers-in-law, Bruce Lessa, of Greensburg, and Charles Lessa, of Elizabeth; and numerous nieces and nephews.
