Fischer, George E. Plum George E. Fischer, 50, of Plum, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2009. Matthew 28:11, "Come to me all who labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest." Beloved husband of Michelle Lynn (Damon) Fischer; adoring father of Amanda and Kimberly Fischer; giving son of George and Rheita (Conklin) Fischer, of Monroeville; courageous brother of Michael (Pam) Fischer, of Plum; brave uncle of Samantha; also survived by extended family and friends. George was the owner of A&S Carpet Collection in Gibsonia. He was an active servant for the Lord and also an avid marathoner. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES INC. (MONROEVILLE/PLUM CHAPEL), corner of Beatty Road and 48 North, Monroeville, 412-856-4747. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Immanuel Lutheran Church, Braddock. Everyone please meet at the church. Interment will follow at Crossroads Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family.
