Jackie died in a car accident on March 31, 2005, leaving her husband, Karl, and daughter, Alexa. Jackie was one of the first people I met when my family moved to Monroeville in 1973, and we were best friends (along with Mary Renee Daniels Whitfield) from that fateful day on the playground at Patton Heights until she died. I'll never attend another class reunion because I attended the 10th and 20th with Jackie. She was the least judgemental person I ever met, and I miss her every, single day.
