Rich left Monroeville in July of 1971 for a cross country trip across the US. Rich ended up in Bellingham Harbor in Blaine, Washington working on a salmon fishing boat. He disappeared from that boat on Halloween night, October 31, 1971 and has not been heard from since. Rich is feared dead. He was survived by his parents and one sister. His parents are both deceased now, and his sister lives in the Poconos with her husband.
